Chanya Lodge is located on the outskirts of Moshi town about an hour’s drive from Kilimanjaro International Airport, off the Dar es Salaam-Arusha highway. But…that does not mean that Chanya Lodge is not an oasis of calm.
With particularly beautiful and tranquil gardens, Chanya Lodge, like its name suggests (chanya means positive in Swahili), seeks to integrate this value in every one of its offerings.
Chanya Lodge has 32 rooms in a semi-bungalow style setting. It has a swimming pool and offers wellness services at a cost such as massages and yoga.
The Lodge has free WiFi in the restaurant area and the food, especially the breakfast, is very good.
Like at Stella Maris Lodge, Chanya Lodge can make arrangements to store some of your luggage safely while you climb Mount Kilimanjaro or are on safari.

Marangu Hotel is located in Marangu, at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, on 12 acres of land that once used to be a coffee plantation.
This charming family-run establishment is almost a century old and has been organizing climbs up Mount Kilimanjaro since 1932.
The accommodation is in colonial-style bungalows and the food at Marangu Hotel includes fresh vegetables grown in their own gardens as well as home baked bread.
