Where to Stay in Kigali #1: Kigali View Hotel/Kigali View Stay
Kigaliview Hotel and Apartments, located on the the outskirts of Nyamirambo neighborhood in Kigali, is an inexpensive hotel with amazing views.
The hotel’s services are basic, but everything is neat and clean. The service is particularly friendly and the breakfast hearty and delicious.
Kigaliview Hotel and Apartments has nice outdoor spaces, including a swimming pool that is available for use to all residents.
The hotel offers free Wi-Fi and is only a few minutes drive from Kigali’s city center.
Once more, did I mention the views? The views at night at Kigaliview Hotel and Apartments are some of the best Kigali views that I have ever seen. They are simply delightful!

Hotels in Kigali Recommendation #2: Cari Hotel Kigali
Cari Hotel is a budget+ hotel in Kimihururu, located an 8-minute walk from the Rwanda Development Board and a 15-minute walk/5-minute drive from the Kigali Convention Centre.
Cari Hotel features 22 rooms, which open to balconies or patios. The hotel is a smoke-free hotel.
Other features at Cari Hotel include free Wi-Fi, an on-site restaurant, and a fitness facility.

3. Great Season Hotel Kigali Location & More

Best Hotels Rwanda #5: Chez Lando Hotel Kigali/Hotel Chez Lando
If I had to choose one word to describe Hotel Chez Lando, it would have to be the French word ‘sympa’ (sorry, no English word describes it as succinctly—understand: nice & easy).
From its beautiful lush gardens to its spacious rooms (with great bathrooms, by the way!), delicious food, and its Chez Lando Grill (which is a great place to hang out, whether or not you are staying at the hotel), Hotel Chez Lando very quickly begins to feel like home-away-from-home.
It’s very well priced and is a good option if you need to be close to the airport.

Rwanda Hotels Recommendation #7: Hotel Le Garni du Centre Kigali
If you are looking for a place with a calm quiet atmosphere that is within a few minutes’ walk of Kigali’s city center, then Hotel Le Garni might be just the place for you.
It’s situated in beautiful gardens with an outdoor swimming pool. It’s very well priced relative to other accommodation around this area.

Best Hotel Kigali #9: Radisson Blu Hotel & Kigali Convention Centre (Hôtel Kigali Centre de Convetion)
If you have seen a recent photo of Kigali’s skyline at night, then I am almost certain you have seen the iconic lit-up dome—a nod to the shape of traditional Rwandan huts—of the Radisson Blu Hotel & Kigali Convention Centre.
The Radisson Blu Hotel is a self-proclaimed conference hotel, and you definitely feel that when you are there.
Everything is sparkly clean and the spaces are big, big, big.
With 291 rooms, the Radisson Blu Hotel is the place to stay if you are attending an event at the Kigali Convention Centre, Kigali’s premier event venue.
The service is great and friendly…typical of Rwandan hospitality.

Rwanda Hotels Recommendation #10: Ubumwe Grande Hotel Kigali Rwanda
Ubumwe Grande Hotel is an ultra-modern, ultra-swanky relatively new Kigali hotel.
It has an amazing rooftop bar & grill with a pool that offers dazzling views of the city.
The rooms are beautifully decorated with spacious balconies and luxurious bathrooms.
There is very little not to like, though the ultra-modern design can feel a bit sterile at times.
Ubumwe Grande is located in downtown Kigali.

Rwanda Hotels Recommendation #11: Heaven Restaurant & Boutique Hotel
If you are looking for a place to stay that is not just a hotel but also an entire social enterprise that serves AMAZING food and has great, warm service, then Heaven Restaurant & Boutique Hotel is the place for you.
Located in the tranquil upscale neighborhood of Kiyovu, Heaven Boutique Hotel is a 22-room 4-star establishment stretched out over 3 properties on the same street.
The decor is very colorful and charming, though a bit expensive for what it is.
Heaven Restaurant is consistently rated among Kigali’s top restaurants with an ambiance and culinary creativity that is hard to beat!

I’ve stayed at the Radisson Blu & it is in one of my top three hotels that I remember staying at – those pillows were so soft I was tempted to pack one up in my suitcase and leave with it! 😀
(The other two being at the Mercure Budapest City Center Hotel & the Motel One near the Central Train Station in Berlin – all three my favourite for slightly different reasons!)
