Marry Brown Dar es Salaam Reviews
Marrybrown in Dar es Salaam stands out as a go-to spot for fast food with a twist, seamlessly combining familiar international flavors with touches that cater to local tastes. Conveniently located for quick meals or family-friendly dining, the restaurant offers an accessible menu that appeals to a broad range of guests. Whether you’re craving a crispy fried chicken meal or something lighter, like a wrap or salad, Marrybrown delivers a solid fast-food experience.
One of the highlights here is the fried chicken—crispy on the outside and juicy within, it has a nice balance of seasoning without being overly spicy. The burgers and rice-based meals are also popular choices, giving patrons a chance to try different options each time they visit. The portions are generous for the price, and the restaurant prides itself on using Halal-certified ingredients, making it a comfortable choice for many.
The ambiance is casual, with comfortable seating, making it well-suited for families, students, and anyone looking to grab a quick meal. Service is generally friendly and prompt, although it can get busy during peak hours. A nice addition is the kid-friendly meal options and a few healthier choices like salads, which round out the menu nicely.
Overall, Marrybrown in Dar es Salaam delivers on its promise of tasty, affordable fast food in a clean, welcoming setting. If you’re looking for a reliable fast-food option that doesn’t compromise on taste, Marrybrown is well worth a visit.

I don’t have any children…which is why when I first noticed Funkys in Masaki (despite its looking very interesting), I knew I’d probably never visit it much.
Then one day, I received an email from a reader telling me about her café, Groovy Cup, located within Funkys.
The flyer she sent me in her email was, well…groovy (for lack of a better word 🙂 ), and that’s how I found myself at Groovy Cup, for the first time, the following Friday for a late lunch.

What Is Funkys?
Funkys is an impressive complex with lots of outdoor/sports activities for kids and adults alike.
Walking through Funkys for the first time set the tone for my expectations of Groovy Cup.
When I finally reached the café, I spent a moment looking at its colorful front wall with its coffee-related quotes, e.g., “Everybody should believe in something. I believe I’ll have another coffee.”
